What is the Bacquart tab?
The Bacquart tongue is the result of extensive research and development in podiatry conducted by podiatrist David Bacquart. His observations have allowed him to highlight the positive and negative aspects of the various orthonyxia techniques. Thus, it seemed obvious to him to find a new orthonyxia technique to avoid these negative aspects. His goal is to improve techniques and simplify your life, thanks to an easy, quick and above all effective alternative.
The Bacquart tongue is inspired by two different techniques:
- Photopolymerization, an effective, reliable technique but unfortunately expensive due to the purchase of the photopolymerization lamp, and the dental products necessary for the application of the device: bonding, resin, titanium, etc.
- Resin tabs, easy and quick to install, without investment in equipment. However, their effectiveness is limited in time.
The Bacquart tab is therefore made of a titanium wire wrapped in a polymer. It allows you to make a "photopolymerization" type correction without investment or expensive products. In addition, its installation technique is identical to a composite tab with a cyanoacrylate glue , thus allowing the tab type fixation, with a very short installation time .
In the same way as other orthonyxia techniques, the tab aims to correct non-physiological nail curvature in order to avoid: pain, periungual corns, ingrown nails and hyper-curvatures.
